Systems Thinking

In order to manage something one has to understand the system to some extent, and knowing the system means building a model of it. Systems thinking provides the models for a holistic understanding of an enterprise that enables us to better identify the linkages, feedback loops and patterns of behavior with an organization. Systems thinking can form a systematic foundation to the management of complex organizations that are not amenable to more traditional reductionist approaches.
